A Winning Combination
Santiano was originally the brainchild of Elephant Music label owner and producer Hartmut Krech. Legend has it that all the members were at a party one night in 2011 and began to jam together, playing old folk tunes that they loved. The sound was so special that Krech suggested that they should make a recording. No one thought for a minute that this casual jamming session would result in one of Germany's most successful bands. The members of Santiano are all seasoned professionals. Growing up in the far north of Germany, they share a love of the old folk tunes and "sea-shanties" that form part of the region's rich history. The love that they feel for the music they make is why Santiano tickets have been so popular since they started to perform live gigs and are still in demand today in 2018. You can hear the passion and the tradition it every note. Santiano tickets will guarantee you a great night out.
A World of Inspiration
The original musical ideas for Santiano had German roots, but the inspiration for the first album, "Bis ans Ende der Welt" came from the sound of traditional music in general. Released in February 2012, "Bis ans Ende der Welt" even boasts a excellent version of "Scarborough Fare". The band were an instant sensation. Their first album went straight to number one in Germany and they were asked to support Helene Fischer on her German tour the following year. At last people could buy Santiano tickets even if they were only the support. Inspired by their success, the band released their second studio album in 2013, "Mit den Gezeiten" which offered more of a rock sound than their debut album. This new twist didn't deter the fans as "Mit den Gezeiten" also went to number one in Germany. That same year, the band received their first honour in the shape of a Best Folk Music prize at the Echo Awards. Santiano were quickly building a reputation for catchy, fun music and wherever they played people wanted Santiano tickets.
Santiano Tickets Sell Out
The truth is that from the beginning in 2011 to today in 2018, Santiano have done no wrong musically. From 2011 to 2018, the fans have known that Santiano tickets meant pure entertainment. Even before they formed into Santiano, they had each learned their craft and when they played together, they were just having fun. Listening to them play, you were drawn into their "pirate adventure" and wanted to be swept away with the sounds of the sea. In 2015 the band produced their third studio album, "Von Liebe, Tod und Freiheit" which also gave them their third number one album in Germany. The resulting tour in 2016 saw them playing to sold out crowds. Santiano tickets were like gold, everyone wanted to hear their magic sound. In the seven years that Santiano have been performing, they have received numerous award and accolades, and have played to sell out crowds wherever they have gone. Their success is well deserved. Their only disappointment came when they tried to represent Germany in 2014 Eurovision, and were beaten out by Elaiza who only managed 18th place.
